My name is Jared. I'm pleased that you're interested in my profile. I'm an experienced tutor of the English language and writing. I hold a Master of Arts in English Literature and Bachelor of Arts in English from Western Illinois University, Macomb. I've taught English and writing several years on campus and online. Currently, I've been teaching in Ashford University as well as in Colorado Technical University online. As to my teaching experience abroad, I lived in Hiroshima in Japan for almost three years teaching English, mainly TOEIC, TOEFL, and IELTS and preparatory courses. It was profound experience for me to develop insight into my students' challenges in learning English as a Second Language.
From my experience, I’ve found out that getting my students to have fun when learning English and working with them as a team, is such a joy for me! Also, understanding my student's needs is most essential to tutoring him or her successfully. You and I will set your learning goals after I test your English proficiency, and then we’ll devise a curriculum together to help you achieve your goals, along with a methodology you enjoy. I believe that everybody can learn English or advance their English proficiency as long as they're tutored by methods appropriate to their needs.
