My name is Niki. It's very nice that you're visiting my profile. I hold a Master of Education degree in secondary education from University of Wisconsin, TESL Certificate from Seattle University, and the Washington State Teaching Certificate. I am highly experienced in all levels of ESL (English as a Second Language) instruction, skilled in second language teaching methodology, assessment, and research-based reading instruction. Throughout years of teaching I've developed expertise in assessing learning styles and identifying reading difficulties. I taught ESL at Bellingham Technical College several years, and, prior to that, at Whatcom Community College I had taught 13 years. Fluent in French and Greek, I've traveled, worked and sailed in France.
I have been teaching English to non-native speakers for 20 years. I especially enjoy teaching pronunciation and reduced speech so you can understand the fast speech Americans use everyday.
