The Online English Grammar Course. If you make grammatical errors in your spoken English and writing, this course will help you learn the English Grammar. In this course you will:
1. Learn English grammar and how to write grammatically correct sentences: Parts of Speech, English tenses, complete sentence and complex sentence; and how to incorporate your knowledge of English grammar into your writing.
2. Learn how to edit your sentences using correct grammar.
3. Learn how to improve your sentence constructions using different sentence forms.
3. Revise your writing.
4. Engage in writing activities you enjoy that will help you write well.
The Online Basic Writing Course. This course aims at two different needs: basic writing skills and standardized basic writing skill test, such as the United State Teacher Certification Basic Writing Skill, TOEFL or SAT-English. You may have a good knowledge of English grammar but still don't write well. Then, taking this course will help you improve your basic writing skills. In this course you will learn how to:
Write a good paragraph. Write paragraphs pertaining to various topics for academic purposes if you are a student to take a standardized basic writing skill test, such as US State Teacher Certification Basic Writing Skill, TOEFL or SAT-English. If you are a professional or an office worker, you, with your tutor, will engage in simulations that are real-life situations you experience at your work. In simulations, you will:
Write one-paragraph-long notes to your supervisor in that you will report problem situations with clients, work conditions, or your resentment about an unfair and disrespectful treatment you were subjected to at work.
Write one-paragraph-long notes to your coworkers, explaining tasks associated with a project you and your coworker collaborate in or a problem you are having with a coworker.
The Online Writing Course for Business English. This course is offered only through email for professionals who need to enhance their business writing skills. If your grammar is good and you have no such problems--as specified above in Level 1 and 2--but need to learn how to write business correspondence, such as email messages and business letters, then take this course. In this course you will:
Write email messages using either your own work situations or scenarios--simulated events. You, with your tutor, simulate business world situations in which you will write emails pertaining to your work and specific problems, such as dealing with clients and customers, or supervisors and coworkers; how to write an email on a given problem you have; how to report a matter to your supervisor or communicate with a coworker about a task you are working together.
Write business letters related to business topics. You will write business letters, again, using your own work problems or simulating problems with clients and customers or supervisors and coworkers. You will learn when and how to write a business letter instead for an email.
The Online Essay Writing Course. This course teaches how to write a basic essay of three/four-paragraph length. Take this course if you need to pass a standardized test, such as SAT-English or TOEFL. If you are in high school or in college, this course will endow you with essay writing skills. In this course you will:
Learn how to find best titles for your essays.
Write to-the-point main topic statements.
Add on introduction paragraphs with strong supporting sentences to discuss the main topic.
Develop the supporting ideas in paragraphs following the main topic.
Divide an essay into paragraphs and begin each paragraph with a topic statement.
Explain, discuss, illustrate, compare and contrast, and defend your argument.
End paragraphs with conclusion sentences. The conclusion sentence signals the ending of the supporting argument for the paragraph.
Write transitional sentences to end paragraphs. You will learn when to write a conclusion or transitional sentence, to end a paragraph
End the essay with a conclusion paragraph, summing up or reinforcing the main topic stated in the introduction paragraph.
The Online Spoken English Course: The spoken English encompasses not only the aspects of pronunciation and accent, but also spoken forms of it. And, this English Language Course will address spoken forms of American English in ways:
American English includes thousands of words, phrases and constructs used differently in spoken English. By only hearing the language from native Americans is a limited experience in order to be able to speak the language properly, and that is why you need expert guidance. This course will provide you with necessary expert guidance, rich and reliable examples of words, phrases and constructs most and less frequently used in spoken American-English.
You will learn the American English spoken today, the ways Americans use the language now, not 30 or 50 or 100 years ago--with examples.
You will learn both formal and informal English language forms. The Online English Course will provide you with the means to see how American English is used in both formal and more spontaneous spoken English, or how American English differs when it is spoken in different contexts.
