First, make simple sentences and then connect them with conjunctions, conjunctive or adverbial phrases.
Example: "Competition is necessary in society. It helps to raise performance quality and productivity. It encourages creativity."
becomes: "Competition is necessary in society because it helps to raise performance quality and productivity, and encourages creativity".
In this sentence, three simple sentences are connected with the conjunctions 'because', 'and'.
Example: "Children need guidance. Without guidance, children are incapable of discerning bad behavior from good behavior. They may develop bad judgment and habits."
becomes: "Children need guidance. Without guidance, children are incapable of discerning bad behavior from good behavior, and they may develop bad judgment and habits as a result."
In this sentence, two simple sentences are connected with the 'and' conjunction and the adverb phrase "as a result" added to the end.
